Benchmark price warehouse club-
Sam's club 15.78$ for 86. They have an offer to buy P&G products worth 60$ and get 15$ gc. Effectively comes to 0.14$ per wipe vs 0.16$ for this. This is a good deal. No need to jump thru the hoops for the P&G deal.

What's the advantage of this vs wet? My mom uses Swiffer but I have no idea if wet vs dry is better

For price comparison, there's a generic 15 count at Dollar Tree for $1.

The Swiffer version is twice as thick, but I personally don't think that cleans any better since it's not like dirt can penetrate through that super thick layer. I also only use mine for basic surface dust.

For the wet version, I think it's a 5 count at Dollar Tree, definitely less than the dry version.

There are dollar store version you can get or if you want, cut microfiber cloths to length and wash when dirty.

I have a dumb question. Are there any ill-effects of using some type of floor cleaner and using dry Swiffer to mop it up? I have hardwood laminate, and they advised against steam mops or excess water (mopping) to clean the floors. I was hoping a diluted all-purpose cleaner and a dry Swiffer would do the trick.

I used to do this all of the time in my last apartment, and it worked great. Spray bottle with hardwood floor cleaner and a dry pad to clean and then mop up the mist. Worked great.
