I have bought a pair of exchangeable head pliers before and hate them. No good way to keep track of the accessories. I think I'd rather just have multiple pliers. Ymmv?
I hate to be that guy, but why would these Chinese stamped steel Irwins be any better than this $5 Chinese stamped steel set?

Edit: It looks like the Irwins are made in Taiwan, so maybe they're higher quality stamped steel.

Wouldn't recommend to use it on auto repair. It's not strong enough.

Don't get me wrong: they aren't bad for the money, and compare favorably to similarly priced interchangeable tip, light duty pliers, but can make a 30s job much longer and more frustrating that it needs to be. They are probably perfectly adequate for light duty snap rings, but you do get what you pay for. FWIW, I fiddled around for 20+ minutes trying to remove an internal snap ring with these, but popped it out on the first try with the Knipex. I'm by no means a tool snob (especially for something that I'm probably only going to use a handful of times a year), but for me, the better pliers were well worth the extra money. YMMV
Edit:
For those of you curious, this [amazon.com] is the Knipex pliers set I ended up purchasing. Yes, they're 3-4x the price, but that's only $30 more than the Irwin version in this deal; a small price to pay if you need something higher quality and more robust. (When I purchased both, the Irwins were more expensive, and the Knipex were cheaper than they are now.) Aside from the better build quality and inherent increased stability over designs with interchangeable tips, the more extreme angle on the tips means it will securely hold the snap ring even after compressing/expanding the snap ring: This [media-amazon.com] vs. this [media-amazon.com].
