Meh the M32U had previously been on sale for $599. I think I would hold out for that deal again instead of the M28U

I don't have M28u, but I get M32U. The only differences between it is panel. M32U had less delay. The CON of M32u are 1. HDR was bad in bright room. 2. Speaker is bad quality. For $600 of M32U, I have no complaint.

Will this one on Newegg be good for a Series S owner?

I don't think I'll need the 4K

I missed that deal and I'm kicking myself. I hesitated. Waiting on that too.

I picked up dual M32U's when they were on sale for $600, can confirm my M1 Max Mac Studio can run them at 4k 144hz easily. Can also scale down so the screen real estate "looks like" 1080p, 1440p, 3008x1692 (my preferred resolution), or 3200x1800 w/ zero perceptible performance hit. When scaled, HiDPI is enabled and text still looks very sharp.

Love the size and high refresh rate, but I have 2 big issues w/ them: one of the monitors has a noticeable reddish tint on the left side. and there's def a bit of coil whine. I tried to replace it twice, but the first had even worse uneven reddish tint, and the second had a couple of stuck/dead pixels, so ended up keeping the initial one where the uneven reddish hue can be mitigated a little w/ calibration and is really only slightly noticeable against white or gray background.

Not dealbreakers for me though given there's very few 32" 4k high refresh displays, let alone near/at the $600 price point, but def recommend checking for dead pixels and backlight bleed/IPS glow etc, quality control isn't the best w/ these monitors.

Fyi I upgraded from dual 27" ASUS ProArt PA278s (1440p) which had great color accuracy and no coil whine, great monitors but only 75hz.

Anyone used this on M1 Macs? Seeing mixed signals regarding 120hz support.

For a 16in M1 pro and a Mini M1.

edit: seems like "yes", based on https://tonsky.me/blog/monitors-mac/
I use this with my m1 Air without any issues.

Got the monitor today. Has a real nasty buzzing sound. So far I've found I can increase to 90 and the buzz will go away even after I lower it back to 70.
