The Costco set doesn't have the 12in fry pan, so this looks like a good addition for those who need one. It also looks visually the same and is also claimed to be made in Brazil, like the Costco's.

Except the tip of the handle, it does look very similar.

The sides slope in on this 12" skillet that I could probably do most things I can do with a wok. It is probably just me, but I do need more oil with stainless, or I can easily burn stuff.

Misen is better qauilty but higher priced. Both brands are good, if you can afford Misen, go for it. Me, I'd go with Misen. Though this is a good price for Tramontina.

Also, avoid sets, you will always get something you will never use, much better to put your own pieces you need and like together.

The reviews are for multiple pieces and sets. Unless the review states it's for this specific pan, it's irrelevant. If you do get a made in China model and don't want it, returns are easy.

Lol since there's always a weirdo in non stick pan deals telling people to get cast iron/ SS pans..
I'm going to be the other weirdo and do the opposite Smilie

Get a non stick pan, guys. It's easier to clean. Less cleaning = more time spent with family Smilie

I have a sneaking suspicion that there's little to no difference.

Chinese pans warp. Tramontina (Brazil) makes quality cookware. Some Chinese mfg that they contract is an unknown quantity.

I'll give it a try. If I don't like it, I'll return to Amazon. Thanks.

"Chinese pans warp"
No, low quality pans warp. Plenty of great pans are made in China. If you have information about the quality of the pan already, by means of understanding the quality output of Tramontina's different factories or whether or not they've contracted out the work, then why do you care where it was manufactured?

The question is "are these quality pans", not "where are they made".
