I gave this to my 7 year old for Xmas a few years ago and he really liked it. I remember supervising the build but he pretty much did it all himself. I remember the instructions were ok to follow. It got played with for a few months then away into storage. It was worth it, paid around the same price.
Buy them up and destroy them ..... Arnold taught us how this turns out!
Sometimes I have a feeling that toys are made for parents so they will buy them thinking that 'this is what my kid wants'

My 9 year old daughter put one of these together as a 4H project and won a purple ribbon at the county fair.

My son had one a couple years ago. Loved building it and using it. It did break, but it was probably my son's fault. Seemed well made.

To echo what others have said, the finished product is neat but it is not a simple build for kids. Expect to be sanding little plastic parts to get them smooth! The movement mechanism works via hydraulics so there is oil involved. But definitely a neat build if you have the time to help!

My son got this last year and he loved it. Assembly isn't terrible, but they need to pay attention, but it is really well put together and a year later it still works.
