Not if you buy generic on eBay, where you can get 100 melamine sponges for under $15 shipped (US shipping) from a highly rated seller or 50 for under $10. Just search for "Magic Eraser".

My biggest tip with these is only wet the last 1/4 inch of the block. Do not wet the entire block. If you follow this advise it will last you 10 times as long!
You can even cut these down with scissors to smaller off cuts. You hardly ever need to use a whole block when using these!

Nice price, this is better than Costco Price on sale last month.

Although those have a drop of dawn for kitchen and bathroom.

I don't know if you're mocking ellemdee but seriously the ebay pack of 100 is a super good deal. They're a bit thinner so you can use them up faster and just toss them. I'm never buying MEs again.

This. I got 100 for $10 a few months ago. It's not as thick as these but can't pass the value.

I know what you mean. I have no idea when using these is the best option.

I used these once when I was 24 and moved into my first apartment. I was scrubbing the walls with these and scrubbed the paint off the wall. Then I tried to use it to scrub the stains out of the toilet bowl, and my finger went through the sponge(good thing I had gloves on). I never used them after those two unfortunate incidents. Gotten by fine without em.
