Not going to lie, this is probably the most useless tool I own. Can't even cut a 2x4 in one pass. Probably better to save your money and spend a couple bucks more for a 6 1/2 at least.

Is it underpowered? Because cut depth is listed as 1-11/16". Thinking of grabbing one for quick, light duty work.

I thought it was underpowered when using a 2Ah battery but then tried it with a 4Ah battery and it works much much better!

Good deal for very light duty work where you just need to grab and make small amount of cutting at a time. Works a lot better after changing the blade since the stock blade is very very bad.

I owned this saw and hated using it. It is underpowered (binds easily), struggled with most common cuts, and because of the smaller blade it doesn't hold a line as easy as a larger blade does. Also agree, the stock blade sucks hard.

While it's fine for quick/small work the limit will be reached very quickly.

Yes, very underpowered. A larger ah battery helps, but still, this is not one of those "buy it because it's cheap" scenarios. Yeah the price is great, that I will agree on, but it's not worth the frustration. If you ever will need a circ saw for a project more than once in your life, you will end up buying another. No point in wasting $25 now unless you need it tomorrow. You can get the 6 1/2 ryobi saw on DTO for $36+shipping if you really need something.

I'm not sure what you all are going on about. I have one of these and have cut 2x lumber in a single pass.

It isn't a great saw, but it works fairly well for the size and price if you already have the batteries.

$57.10 for the ONE+ 18V Lithium-Ion 2.0 Ah Compact Battery (2-Pack) with 6-Port Charger using your same promo seems like a good deal.

Got it for 29 but even with 24 I don't recommend it. Always used with 4ah, but cutting power not enough for long period of work, which indicates bad efficiency. And included 18T is really only for framing work so if you want a smooth cut use a better saw or have a over 60T blade. 5.5 inch is not common size so only few brands offer high T blades, which implies me not worth of a few bucks of blade upgrade... Even if you really do short work or hobby woodwork, including me, I don't recommend the product.

Lol IKR.
For "thin cuts" I either adjust the depth on my 7 1/2" saw or use my 4" dremel saw.
That dremel is a beast and very handy for those thin cut jobs!

i have this and the older blue ryobi circular saw that takes the 4" blade. i got this thinking it would be cheaper since these blades are cheaper but this thing can't cut anything at all... i still use the old blue ryobi saw... this thing sits unused in my garage...

So far for me, this is one of the best tools for small projects. Price is low that I want to get one for backup. The brushless one is still expensive.

That makes no sense. I will not debate you. Can I get a sparky to illustrate the math please?

As for the deal. IMO, if you're hard up for the tool, a battery/charger (sell the tool), or a little cash....go nuts. As far as from a profit standpoint; you make more with multi-battery purchases. Great point in the first response about this tool not even being able to cut a 2"x4" tho.
Watts are power.
Amps x Volts= Watts.
So, if Volts is constant, and Amperage increases, then Watts also increases which, technically, is an increase in power.
12V x 2A = 24W
12V x 4A = 48W
