I think it depends on what type of gamer you are. I got BOTW for $30 recently and returned it because I know I don't have 100 hours to put into ANY game. 15 - 30 hours is a sweet spot for gamers like me. Not so for others and I respect that.

I have this game, I'll give it to anyone local to Stl. It's probably the most overrated game I've ever played. Maybe 2-3 hrs of playtime to beat it.

Does comperting a semi open linear game 15 hours to a 100hours fully open world game matter for a score? If thats the case i can find you games with 500 hours of gameplay the. They will beat them all in score if how long the game is would matter. All metroid game should sucks cause most are 8-12 hours long.

Modern games have incorporated a new feature that helps. It's called "save state". You can save your progress and turn off your console!

Jokes aside, you buy games for the sake of finishing them? If that's the case you can speed run BOTW and finish it in an hour.

Maybe you are the type that can't put the game down until you find every hidden korok seed. Then yes, you may have a problem and should probably avoid video games al together.
