apparently lowest price ever - but i'm not a fan of duracell - and the reviewers are not fans of this product.

I got the old ones when they had the green casing. I've had more of them partially fail (won't charge in the Eneloop Panasonic CC-17 or various 2-at-a-time chargers, but will charge in an Eastshine S2, which is a rebadged generic) than the Harbor Freight rechargeables. I don't like the new design where they look almost exactly like disposable Duracells!

What's the deal with this "ion speed?" Is that just a marketing tactic/gimmick or is that a real thing?

Edit: looks like they charge within 4-8 hours and can be recharged 400x (unless you get faulty batteries which some reviews seem to mention. I'm guessing these are not low discharge batteries though.

Look to be Chinese made ones, if you can get the Japanese ones that would be a great deal.
