I bought these about 9 months ago, found these to be very uncomfortable, even causing headaches after prolonged use. They now collect dust on my shelf.
The headphones seems to be Gen 1 and not Gen 2 as it states.
These are great not heavy and comfortable, i have the wireless i had bought them at this price before battery is great as well mic is awsome no complaints

They are clearing them out. Won't be in production again I assume as they aren't showing up on Logitech's website.

For casual gaming, is it worth spending extra dough? I've used under $30 headphones and wondering if I should give in to this temptation

I got the g pro x wired locally at Walmart about 6 months ago and it's got a great microphone, good sound quality speakers, not the best ear pads but decent, and I do like that you can take the microphone off if you want to use it as headphones instead. The only complaint is that it's not great for large cranium as it's on the smaller side. Clamping force isn't great but if you need to, you can stretch them out a bit and they'll loosen up. I just clamp it around my PC tower overnight and it loosened it up enough to be more comfortable.

also note that the 7.1 should be virtual and only by using the provided USB adapter, which I believe is only available on windows, the software you install for lot of the effects like eq and comm changes are only for windows as well, although once you change it, it'll store internally. definitely geared towards PC gamers more than console, or at least you'll need a PC to make changes.

"I don't need another headset." Repeating this myself this over and over right now. I watch Youtube headset reviewers like The Techne and I have to keep adding to my headphone collection. This has 7.1, this has haptic feedback, this is orange and limited edition, etc. Gaming headsets are such a rabbit hole. laugh out loud

Depends on budget. I'm a pretty casual gamer but I use $300 ones. I know that might seem ridiculous, but when I get done working and finishing chores around the house, I want something that simply works and isn't going to lead me towards aggravation (like playing against tryhards in Warzone). To me it's worth it.

I would say no. I have a lot of headsets that I've bought for around $30 and often times less, including the Logitech g pro, and at that price it was worth it, but at $60 it's ok at best, and definitely not $120 msrp. The only reason why this might be worth the extra price is that the headset is much clearer than the cheaper $30 range ones, but if you're casually playing that's probably not your biggest concern.

Had these for a while now and would say they are decent headphones for the price. They sound good and are solid build wise. Also boom mic sounds good but cable sucks.
Some cons are they have a bit to much bass which aren't to great for fps games and the cables with mic volume almost always go bad and Logitech has no more replacements they just tell you to buy another pair and third party replacements seem cheap so it will be an ongoing issue. (If anybody here has a fix I'd appreciate an option).
If you wear glasses the soft earcushions are a must.

I've owned the ProX wireless for quite some time now - I purchased them when they were new.

1. They don't work with mac's well. I've had tons of issues with it disconnecting or the source changing in the middle of meetings (I use them for work)
2. They are very tight as others have mentioned, and I don't like them for long term use. I have a G933 that I like a lot more, purchased this as an upgrade, did not feel like an upgrade.
3. The mic is wonderful. best mic on a wireless headset I've ever had. Would purchase another blue voice mic headset from logitech, just not this one.

So, if you are young or a small-ish head, use these for windows or xbox, like sounding good - these are super good for you!!

There are better headsets for cheaper, and the fake surround sound on these headsets will actually make the sound less accurate. They're a marketing gimmick. The HyperX Cloud series (not the lesser quality Stinger) can be had for around $30 on sale pretty regularly and have much better sound than these Logitech headsets. If you can increase your budget to around $70, Drop semi-regularly has the PC37X on sale for that price and they're vastly superior to every other gaming headset on the market. They're rebrands of Sennheiser's Game One headsets, and they sound incredible for both gaming and music.

You can get surprisingly decent headphones for not much more than that. I am a big fan of the Hyperx Cloud series. I have been using the same headset (cloud ii) for nearly 6 years and they have survived lots of abuse (falls, traveling, etc). You can get cloud 2s on sale for around $50, or the cloud core for $30 (which is basically the same as cloud 2, but without a USB sound card/manual volume controls).

While the Cloud comes with solid audio and mic and is quite comfortable at baseline, you can definitely improve the comfort by adding aftermarket earpads (eg Brainwavz, Wicked, Transtek, etc). They cost about $20, are 30mm thick, and can be velour or pleather (I would recommend velour for comfort/breathability and longevity). This can make a big difference in headset comfort, esp if you feel like there is too much clamping.

I haven't tried these Logitech headphones before, but did briefly own Logitech G430s that were extremely uncomfortable (significant clamping that would result in headaches within a few hours). On the other hand, I could use my current Cloud 2 with aftermarket pads all day without any discomfort.

I have 3 of these Logictech mechanical keyboards over the past few years. 2 of them have repeating key issue. The 3rd is not use offend. All these issues started in a little after the one year mark.

Unless they have resolve this issue, I wouldn't waste this much money on such a bad product. I have $30 mechanical keyboards that lasted longer w/o any issues.
