They removed travel protection, price protection, and extended warranty around 4 years ago. It does have virtual numbers.

Source : I've had the card for years and don't use it much since they removed those features.
I think the extended warranty perk was brought back not too long ago?

I've had this card for at least 7 or 8 years now. No issues at all. Had my information stolen twice (Not CC company fault) and they quickly sent me new cards, refunded false charges, everything was smooth and worked great. I love the ease of 2% cash back on EVERYTHING. I don't want to think about anything with cashback, just give me a solid amount. My friends use cards with 1% but bonus on categories, I guess maybe that is better if you keep track but I don't have the time or worry about that.

Over the course of using this card I've gotten the following for free (I save my cashback for 'fun stuff').
- Xbox One X
- Xbox Series X
- Playstation 5
- Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Earbuds
- EGO 670 CFM Leaf Blower
- A couple nicer dinner with my wife

I use my CC for everything so it racks up quickly.

Just don't fall for using this thing at Amazon, they will try everytime you check out. But the points don't convert 100%. Like 1000 points is I think $10, but on amazon it's like $8. Its dumb, just use it to cover expenses on your account each month (kinda a pain) or just give yourself a nice statement credit anytime you buy something big/fun (what I do).

Also Walmart wants your points. Citi was helpful when Bestbuy scammed me. I bought 12 months of total tech. Best buy didn't finish the 12 months at the 5th month they singed me up for Total. Then they had the nerve to charge me for 12 months of Total. Bestbuy wouldn't budge so I contacted the fraud department got 100% of my money back.

2% cash back on everything is good enough but can be better without going after credit cards with rotating categories.

My repeating biggest expenses are groceries and dining so I got (all with no AF):

Capital One Savor - 3% groceries and dining, 1% everything else - no FTF so i use this a lot for international dining

AAA Daily Advantage Visa - 5% groceries - no FTF

US Bank Altitude Go Visa - 4% dining - has 3% FTF so not good for international travels

My fallbacks:

Alliant Credit Union Visa - 2.5 % flat rate - no FTF but don't use this much for international travel because card is not contactless

SoFi Mastercard - 2.2% flat rate - no FTF - my go to fall back for international "other expenses" bc it's contactless

For international travel, I carry 3 cards - Capital One Savor, AAA Daily Advantage Visa, SoFi MC.

can people that have gotten this recently provide data points on how much credit limit they got on this card?

I am hearing they're giving out 500, 1k limit, which is dumb.

$11,000 is what I've seen. But it all depends on income and credit score.

Yes they did which is really surprising! It's one of the few citi cards that have double the manufacturer warranty, adding up to 1 add'l year of warranty. Wish the Citi Costco card would bring it back.

I've had this card for a little over 3 years, and use it for all purchases not in the travel and dining categories. For no strings attached 2%, there are only a couple other cards out there. (The Bank if America 2% card comes to mind)

I also used it for groceries up until recently when I got an Amex Blue cash which beats it for 3% on groceries. There really are no reasons to settle for 1% when these cards exist.

The cash promotion just sweetens the deal.

What do they have for people who have had this card for a decade but no longer use it because they found a better deal ?

Fidelity has a 2% Visa card, you need to have a Fidelity brokerage account and connect the brokerage account to the cashback rewards to get the 2%, it's a great card. it's not one percent now and one percent later like the citi double.
