A lot of dogs love the hedgehogs, the large ones especially, because they have a different squeaker in it that makes a grunting sound. Our corgi randomly gets urges to kill something and loves making these things grunt, flings them around and then eventually rips them open to get the stuffing out and squeakers. For $5 he can have his fun and he doesn't know where they keep coming from, a new one just keep showing up every month after he killed the previous one.

This is probably the least durable dog toy we've ever bought, just terrible.

You're welcome.

What kind of dog do you have? My dog is a mutt I adopted from the pound. She likes to carry the hedgies around in her mouth; she doesn't destroy them for quite a while. (For some reason, she couldn't care less about tennis balls and such, but loves stuffed dog toys.)

This is probably the most SD staff shilled dog toy ever, or maybe the lamb chop one XD

Or maybe it's just a popular dog toy? It got +119 thumbs up when not posted by staff, or +99 another time, again, not posted by staff.

My German Shepard can break the squeaker in these things within 10 minutes. Within an hour, the stuffing is coming out.

My dogs love these (and the Lamb Chops). They destroy them pretty quickly, but I'm good with it. It makes them happy. Thanks OP.

Same but I'll probably stop buying them when I get tired of cleaning the mess

My lab destroys these (at least he used to when he was few months old). He loves to lay it down and use his front teeth to rip off the black "toes" they have. He does eat the stuffing, so I usually throw them out when I see first blood.

We'll see how he does not that he's 15 months. Thanks OP

Can you point me to the price tracking showing it hitting this price frequently? The 2 popular trackers for Amazon show this as being $10+ for all of 2023. There was a $3 coupon in March at made it $7. And a buy 2 get 1 free promo that made it $19.96 for 3 of them.

My pupper loves her "honkerz" and used to get sad when he "died". She's a 70lb AmStaff and could easily destroy it in 45 seconds flat, but she doesn't. We have two XL's in reserve when the current size L meets his demise.

SD staff shills for a lot of crappy products and crappier retailers. This toy isn't one of them.

Pretty sure it's never been this price. It was $20 at one time, and was $12 on sale. That said, it was too large for my 40 lb dog. It would make a nice toy for a young child.
