What's this I hear about the B&W PX7 being superior to Sony? Sounds like a bunch of bs but I never tried a PX7 or PX8.

PX8 are definitely better in my experience, not sure about the PX7's as I haven't tried them. If your use case is listening to audible on airplanes then go with the Sony's - but for music anywhere else - PX8 without a doubt.

Before dropping $300 on these, I highly recommend trying them out and comparing them 1st at Target, etc. I did and found the xm4 a lot better for my tastes. These were a lot less bassy and a lot brighter.

Makes sense. To meet that extended battery life claim Sony could have EQ'd the bass lower to conserve battery power.
