The monitor in this deal is also smaller than dual 27". 49" is equal to dual 27.
I frequently tell myself that my 34" curved monitor is too big. I also frequently tell myself I should buy something like this.
I just contacted Amazon customer support and got $150 in credit back! WOOHOO! From what I hear they never price match, but returning and rebuy wasn't an option.

This is a great deal for this monitor for sure!

34" is smaller than even dual 27" so it's definitely not too big. In reality it's too small, unless you still use a second monitor.
You definitely have me rethinking my home office setup. I run two 27" 2k monitors along with my work laptop screen.

Has anyone used this for a home office setup? I'm not even sure if a work laptop (for me it's a Dell Latitude 5430 i7) would even run a monitor like this. Has anyone used this for work/production? I spent about this much on two decent 27" monitors, but the clean look and single curved monitor just looks way better aesthetically, but maybe in practice it's not that great?

Can anyone speak from experience?

I tried the Odyssey 49" and it was way too big for the desk, but that was also because of the ridiculous curve. This one's not nearly as round, 1500R vs 1000R makes a huge difference.

I keep thinking about adding a 24" vertical to my 38" ultrawide to leave email/Teams/whatever running, but something like this sure would be pretty. Hmm

Is this the same size as two 27" monitors?

How is this for doing just normal work. Working on decks good docs etc? Not doing any sort of designing.

Currently using two screens but the new MacBooks only allow for one screen output. Kind of annoying.

What do you mean by 1500r vs 1000r? Is one better than the other for regular office work?

I said the same thing about my 34" wide screen but I just purchased the Asus ROG Strix XG49VQ 49" Curved Gaming FreeSync Monitor 144Hz for $500 from Amazon and I love it.

Got very excited for a moment, but I'm waiting on a sale for the 45gr75dc-b. Near as I can tell this model doesn't have usb power delivery. Great deal if you don't care about that.
