IMO, audio is a better investment than a high-resolution monitor if you're getting into content creation or streaming. At least for me, I am usually not watching as much as I am listening to streams. Also a 1080p video or stream is a lot more accessible to those with poor internet speeds, and viewers care less about resolution than they do the audio quality. I am not saying this is the ideal way to go. An AT2020 and a FIFINE Gaming Audio Mixer can be had for ~$150 or less. This Steelseries interface also relies on software controls other than the audio and mic mute buttons.
