Unable to view new messages posted to a thread

In last week's T-Mobile Tuesdays thread, I cannot view posts made after sdtacos250's post on 04-12-2024 at 06:36 PM PDT, even though my subscribed threads feed indicates there are six unread messages in the thread. I was able to find four of the posts but the other two remain elusive. Why can't they be seen in the thread? (Viewing in Classic mode.)

I noticed that it started happening around 3 PM at post #506 in this thread, which looks it might be a similar post count as the other thread where it happened.
Anyway, here's the thread where it's happening now …

Here's the third thread where it happened (from last year) …

I have added your findings to the ticket, so that the dev team can keep your theory in mind as they look into this.
Thank you again

Another workaround is to click thread tools (in classic) or the three dot menu (in redesign) and then click Show Printable Version - that seems to show all of the "missing" posts.
Obviously that's not ideal and would probably stymie troubleshooting to some extent, but might be something to consider for a few of the busiest threads if a fix doesn't appear likely. It would be nice if you could just make a new blank thread and import all the current messages into it, although I'm guessing that's probably not an option.
- In the Linksys thread, the last post I *can* see is #105.
- The post I *cannot* see is #106.
- In the "classic" v1 UI, at 15 posts per page, this 106th post should start Page 8.
- But the thread is stuck at 7 pages.
- Here is the kicker: The pagination control indicates that there are only 103 comments (see the screenshot).
- Perhaps this undercount of posts is preventing the generation of the next, 8th page by the forum engine?
Also, this thread and the T-Mobile one are FP threads. This is probably a factor too because the FP post by the moderators affects the total comment count in some versions of the UI.Ultimately, whatever is causing the undercount of comments in the pagination control is probably the cause of the hidden / missing posts.

I personally truly have no idea what the issue is, but hopefully your theories help the devs narrow this down.
Thank you both again, I appreciate the time and thought that you've put into helping us squash this bug
Do you have any extensions running? If you turn them off, do the links work correctly?
