Deal not working. Coupon may be per account. Used a similar deal about a month ago and not getting the 50% at checkout.

Edit: coupon available on other versions I did not buy last time, but not the Gain scent we use.

If you need that Gain scent, just hang a shirt you washed in Gain over the litter box to get that (overpowering) Gain smell. Big Grin

So many cat litters, each with a particular "feature" -- why not put all those features in ONE cat litter? Outstretch lasts 50% longer -- why would you sell a cat litter that lasts 50% SHORTER than Outstretch? Extreme vs Advanced? Why sell an inferior version of something better?

It's all very confusing.

Most likely because its all fake and just marketing to get the biggest market share possible. Some people care about long lasting, so they make a product listed as that. Other people care about "STRUNG CLUMPS" so they make one market as that. Others want a litter that has AI Technology to know that "mUlTiPle cAts" are using it, so they make one for that.

FYI: We bought a First Step cat litter about a year ago, and one of our cats used the litter pan once, and then started urinating right outside the box onto the rug. and poo'ed over the edge into the box. (We figured out since she squats lower when she pee's, she wouldnt clear the sides of the litter box.) After thinking it might have something to do with the new cat litter, I ran down to Dollar General and got some el-cheapo non scented cat litter and replaced. She immediately started going fully back into the pan again.

I dont remember which scent it was since it was a new customer Chewy deal and I have no clue what email address I used, but I think it was the Febreze version. But if your cat suddenly starts doing something like this, there you go.

Edit: It was First Step w/ Febreze Hawaiian Aloha, Extreme

This litter is also gluten free, humanely raised, sustainable, compostable, fair trade, and minority female owned.

As others have mentioned, it worked on the on the variant that I had not previously ordered. We just opened the first box of the last shipment, so it was a great time to get another 2pk.

I have to agree. Freshstep used to be my preferred litter but something isn't right; perhaps they changed the formula or the location where they procure the clay?

I tried the Advanced last month and I'm noticing litter everywhere now. Freshstep seems to have gone downhill similar to Dr Elsey. (You sir are a doctor of soggy stinky lumps! laugh out loud)

With that being said and being a sucker for punishment, I'll give the Clean Paws variety a chance before writing off Freshstep; thanks OP. Overall, IMO the best consistent bargain and quality cat litter I found is Special Kitty Clumping [walmart.com] for $13. Works well and is affordable.
