Craftsman is now under the same parent company as DeWalt. So basically Craftsman is sort of used as their value line of tools, In fact I've seen tear down videos where some models even share the same internals. Usually these are the higher trimmed Craftsman and lower/mid level DeWalt.

ill defiantly take this any day over anything from walmart or random amazon brand, all of whom are known for straight up lying about their performance.
