You are missing the point entirely. They are fun to build, cool to display. That's the enjoyment factor of Legos. You can combine to make sets of your own. Are you super old or did your parents deprive you of the wonderful Lego experience??
Not unique in terms anyone can buy it and it's not limited.

Do people just buy something like this, build it and return within 30 days?
I can't imagine collecting these. They're not unique and take up a lot of space.
For me personally, I enjoy putting them together, seeing the clever ways they came up with to make a set look the way it does and I'll either display them, or break them back down and add it to a box of random pieces for my grandkids to play with. It's like a puzzle in a lot of ways, if a puzzle came with a set of explicit instructions on how to assemble it.
Anyway, if it's not for you, you're welcome to carry on with your life. If your question is meant as a dig toward people who enjoy something that you don't understand, then there's better ways to spend your time than trying to shit on a hobby a lot of people do enjoy.

Yep, dead. Missed it during the great Texas internet outage of today, Bummer.
Sadly the price went back up to $109.95. This Tranquil Garden is a real nice LEGO set and I would have almost bought one at $87.95. Not really worth it at the regular retail price.
