Same price on the Xbox store for those of you that still have that $25 from the Samsung promotion a year ago. Paid the added $15 in combined payment options to buy my friend a new controller.

Edit: Microsoft changed price to $44.99. Sorry about that.

Best buy will price match if you have the $5 or $10 points to use that came in an email a few days ago.

I see $44.99 on Xbox store. Was going to buy extra since I add some GC.

I went with 8bitdo 2c for my next controller. Has hall effect sticks, $10 cheaper. Waiting for mine but I have the older ultimate c and it feels great.

How in the world does these get easily drifted as the Joy Cons? Cuz I don't get it. I don't mash or handle the controller too rough which usually causes to stop working properly. I don't play fighting games. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your statement. Either way, I'm genuinely curious how bad it has gotten over the years.

Isn't it silly Microsoft hasn't made these controllers user friendly with charging lol. No led lights no way of telling low battery unless through console, only vibrates when you plug in. You don't know when charging is done.

I have 4 of these and all of them have terrible drift issues. Sadly 2 of them barely saw a month of use before they got this issue. Wonder if warranty covers this. Anyone try the warranty for them yet?

On the warranty question, would the warranty be doubled should one's credit card provide an additional year?

I've burned through so many in the XB1 gen. So far my X1X controller seems to be holding up. I'm gentle as hell on all of my stuff and I'm used to wearing down the plastic after long time use to make rough surfaces smooth, but stick drift developed on SO many XB1 controllers before any sign of me using the controller was showing. That said, I have found that cleaning them out with electronic parts cleaner has yielded mostly positive results, but the real answer is that the controllers are all plastic and rubber when you look at the switches. Then the disaster of the Elite using the same switches ensured I would never buy one.

Yeah, sorry about that. Looks like Microsoft switched to $44 for some reason. It was $39 last night, so not sure why they changed it.

I have the white core controller and I've had it for almost 4 years and I use it 3-4 times a week and it's been real solid. Never had an issue with it. But meanwhile. I don't eat junk food and ruin the joysticks with nasty food. And I don't drop it ever. I am very careful with it.

I picked up some Amazon basics high capacity rechargeable double A batteries and that combo is a treat.

It is bad. I am staring at the pile of the controllers in the corner of my room. Each one has some level of drift in either one of the sticks usually happens within 1yr. I went ahead and ordered this one and got the protection plan on it. Hopefully offset the cost of having to buy a new one every year.
