Why isn't this better than Dell 27" 4k USB-C S2722QC?? It seems to have similar specs + smart features for entertainment. In addition, it's cheaper with EPP.

VA, not IPS
VA isn't necessarily bad.
For productivity / general office / text and web heavy works, VA's contrast ratio advantage really shines.
This thing is easily 3000:1 contrast ratio at $215; whereas IPS at that price point are all 1000:1. Even the high end ones with IPS Black can only do 2000:1 while all having >$500 price tag.

How is the comparison between the two formats for doing non-professional artwork and photo / video editing?

IPS.
VA has slightly different color/brightness change at different viewing angles; you might see the edge of the screen looks slightly different from center, if you're facing the center. That might cause problem with photo/video editing.

Gotcha. Thanks. I'm debating this one or the Dell IPS and can't yet decide. I love the look of this one more and the nits are higher, but the Dell is IPS. Tough choice.
Bought this for my girlfriend to use for school. The monitor is very nice. It's absolutely worth it for this price. Sound is decent, the picture is clear, and the smart TV features make it a better value. This thing can do a lot and has a ton of features.
