Almost. Yours linked is slightly smaller screen, resolution 1920x1080, smaller battery ~15-20%. May be worth the price diff.

This processor will perform very very similar to 12th gen 1235u. Intel is playing a very sinister game. They make very slight modifications and release new variant and charge more money.
Hence those who want to save price can also go for 1235u.

I believe $50 more will give you a better Ryzen processor. This Intel processor is capable but Ryzen 7 HS processor be better for a little more.

not the only difference, but the screen is not as bright at 250 nits (ASUS) vs. 300 nits.

Heads up. I found out through the thread, and verified it after mine arrived that it has a TN panel. Frown
So now I am shopping again and this is one of my potential picks.

Like every deal, you pay more and you get more features. The Asus deal is for those who want a laptop with the latest specs but don't feel it is worth $100 more for an IPS vs. TN screen.

That is why I ended up ordering this one last night. Worth it to me even though this is a Lenovo and I am worried about hinge failures down the road.

I wouldn't have mentioned the panel difference, except that the other thread was originally posted incorrectly as coming with an IPS panel. That is why the person I replied to posted it here as an alternative to save $100. Back then it still was not promoted to FP and showed the false info.

I wanted to warn others here since it got brought up here, (but never edited here after the truth came out) as an alternative, because the OP never changed their title.

The FP moderator edited that claim out of it in their post, but it is still showing as w/ IPS if you are using Classic view>Thread view when you look at the OP's post.

There was a lot of controversy in the thread about this. The OP (after having been proven incorrect) left it wrong in their title. He went by a picture that was incorrect for this model.
