Should be perfect for a college student. They can opt to buy a pen too to take notes in OneNote, which I found was helpful when I was in college.

I think this is the same or similar to this deal, which I just received last week. You may want to check if those codes still work, or if there are others available. The model I linked to comes with the Lenovo pen. Also, you should be able to use id.me to get a student discount as well. Not sure what it comes to with all of that currently, it depends on what codes you have. My total before warranty was just under $600.

I wanted to buy directly from Lenovo because there was (and still is) $75 cashback via Amex bonus from Lenovo for spending $750 (if you have that on your card), and more cb elsewhere. AND it let me buy the full extended warranty from Lenovo for less than Best Buy warranties (which put my total over $750 and got the cashback, the credit just landed in my account today). I got the 4-year warranty that includes accidental damage coverage. I always like this for laptops, but this laptop especially, as the Yoga is known for hinge problems, and some people have had problems getting that covered with just a standard warranty, being told the broken hinge falls under accidental damage. And of course with no warranty, it's no dice.

Anyway, I like it a lot so far, though have only used it for a bit of web browsing because I haven't moved everything over from my old laptop yet.
