All these Kobalt sets are so poorly curated. I thought this one might be decent but quick glance shows all 12 point sockets.

agree, 12 point sockets are useless to me. There is actually an all 6 point set available for the same price!

The best deal is the impact socket set for $149!!!!

There is a 211 piece set at Lowe's for the same price with all 6 point sockets. It is much better than this set

The 211 Kobalt all 6 point would be better than the 200 piece Husky bulk socket deal that goes on sale for $59, because all the 1/2" drive sockets in the Husky are 12 point.

Nice, thanks for the heads up. I think I'm going to grab that for myself and gift the majority of my sockets (quite a few mismatched from various brands) to my friend's 19 year old who has been getting into working on cars and whatnot and has garbage for tools.

What shadowy figures operating behind the scenes in smoke-filled rooms have a vested interest in all of us shade tree mechanics rounding off as many bolt heads as possible? That's the only reason I can think of that so many socket sets would come with largely 12-point sockets versus 6-point. Fight back, buy 6-point! Peace
