I suggest everyone gets a high/ultra torque version instead. When I did a car work a few weeks ago, none of my mid torque wrench worked for a couple of rusted bolts except using the high torque version I bought for removing the crank bolt. I was thinking it was not a good buy just to remove one bolt. Now I loved it so much because it saved me so much time when dealing with the actual work.

Using a single high torque impact wrench for everything is fine. If you can afford the luxury of a mid torque wrench, it is great too as you can use a lighter wrench and bring out the big gun only when necessary.

I bought a DCF900 and I have no regrets, but it is definitely a big boy. Pretty heavy with tons of torque. I agree with the sentiment that if you have extra money, it'd be nice to have a lighter one for other uses too.

I have the high torque version and hoping this mid torque is pretty capable at a lower weight and size. The high torque (899) is quite big when working under the cars and trucks.

Can be hacked if purchased at lowes with the 5ah powerstack. Only seems to work IN STORE tho. Comes out to like 140. 2nd item ive done on this promo. When ordered online the reciept wont show up with price breakdown but in store it does

edit- $128.47 is what i paid with lowes card getting 5% off. and bought in a state with no sales tax

You're asking what's most likely your average DIY to hammer in a nail with a sledge hammer. Just a complete and unnecessary overkill to go with a high torque. If someone needs a high torque, they most likely already have a mid torque and absolutely only use the high torque when needed.
