Have one from a previous deal. The RGB is kind of obnoxious if you don't want it, but there's a button to turn it off completely. Performance is good and never had an SSD drop/disappear randomly like I've had with numerous other enclosures.

Is there any benefits using this 20Gbps enclosure when your USB C port only supports 10Gbps ? Like more stable throughput maybe ?

Does the RGB speed up faster when you have a faster ssd? Or give some kind of an indication of how soon it will be done? Lol

I mean, most of the time the OS doesn't know how long a transfer is gonna take. Hoping a significantly lower-cost-of-development item to know what *the OS doesn't* is a lost cause.

Not really but are you sure it only supports 10? 3.2 alr supports 20.
