Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. You are so very wrong. Please stop spreading misinformation.
The patented ingredient is in fact in the products Walmart sells. Make sure to buy from WM retailer, not a reseller, to ensure it's the actual untouched product.

As for WM not being an authorized seller, you are correct, but WM sells MANY brands they are not authorized resellers of. It's called 'Product Diversion'. WM is simply getting them from a different authorized reseller and then putting them in the stores. Again, this happens with many many brands and products. It's very common.

It's the same reason you can find Olaplex at places like CVS, Rite Aid, Target, etc. All not authorized resellers as well, but still sell Olaplex.
Just got these in the mail and was trying to determine if these were fakes or not. I do think they're real products but they're old, batch codes show they were manufactured 2+ years ago.
Just received 4, purchased from WALMART as the retailer from WALMART.COM. (NOT A RESELLER)

All batch codes show:

Manufacturing date: May, 2024
Age: 0 years and 4 months

This is fake stuff from China. Walmart is not an authorized reseller of Olaplex. Fake Chinese product doesn't contain the patented ingredient Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, but it's sold everywhere to unsuspected buyers. Even Costco got into trouble a few years ago for selling counterfeit Olaplex.

Only buy Olaplex from Sephora or Ulta. Or directly from the Olaplex website. They run specials all the time.

Anyone can sign up to sell on Walmart and these third party sellers are notorious for selling knock off China imports.

You most definitely cannot buy Olaplex at CVS or Target. Olaplex does not allow its products to be sold outside of its authorized distribution channels and takes legal action when it discovers these sales have occurred. And, they have already sued Walmart for copyright infringement.

But, hey, don't take my word for it, read it for yourself [leelawservices.com]!

OP is not talking about a 3rd party seller deal, they are talking about WM directly.

Much less likely to get fakes from WM or Costco than Amazon.

If that's the case, why did Olaplex ever sue Walmart? https://www.leelawservices.com/wp...laplex.pdf They seemed pretty upset, if you ask me.
