She should be facing toward the squat rack, not away from the squat rack.

But then your shins hit the poorly placed crossbar Smilie

Probably better off with two separate, sturdier freestanding uprights if you don't want a real cage. This design seems extremely limiting.

Buy once, die once, etc

Lol doing dips on this would feel weird since the holder part is wider than your shoulder.

Yep. She's definitely doing it the direction the stand would require.

If I don't need the bench itself and plan to mostly do bench presses, is this or the LX400 bench from an earlier deal the better quality rack to get? I'm male and a bit over 6', if that matters. It's the price point I'm wanting to target on both.

PLEASE spend the extra coin and get a proper cage. This has NO ability for safety catches and the one time you need them will make it worth it.

Hard to argue, even on a "deals" website

That tiny azz bar looks funny. And she's goofier for wanting to model for the product lol

I'm all for low priced fitness gear, but this is hot garbage. Avoid like the plague. Not sure how on earth it's gotten any upvotes…

What kind of deal should we be looking for for this type of equipment? A specific example would be great

Blame the mods. As long as it sells, and Slickdeals gets kickback, that's all they care about; they don't care if it's hot garbage.

Staff posters care if the deal is popular, but often opinion of a product is divided. This rack doesn't have any 1-star reviews on Walmart, which seems unusually positive.

This is a great deal… if you can find a use for it other than the one listed in the description.
