If you have a Costco membership, it's 9.99 every day for two jugs of 500 so that you can share with your in laws https://www.costco.com/kirkland-s...13623.html
According to study from US military, expired medication still works fine. It may be less potent!
I feel if you only need the occasional pill, then paying $1/$2 at a time at Walmart/Target is best. Yeah, it's like 2 cents per pill (instead of 1 cent), but that's all you'll need for the next few years.

Target 50-ct [target.com] for $1.19
Target 100-ct [target.com] for $1.99
Walmart 100-ct [walmart.com] for $1.98

SamsClub has 1200 [samsclub.com] for $11.98 in their clubs.
Unfortunately, free shipping now has a $50 threshold.

That does seem like something the US Military would say.

Harvard says that it depends on the type of medication, some medications should be safe to take after expiration, some not.

Get liver scans before and after! 🤣

Yeah there has to be a use case for these larger bottles. My work stocks some with huge warning signs that say take at your own risk. Maybe for that?

Boomer here with boomer wife. I take two/day, one with coffee in the morning & one at night. I don't need a reminder as my body tells me if I forget one dose. Sad? Maybe. It's the reality of being an active boomer.

Liver tests every 6 months for both of us shows everything is fine.

Edit: Maybe took 25 or so (total) in my whole life up until I was 60.

With all the negative things I hear about acetaminophen, ibuprofen and aspirin, I'm thinking Oxy may be the safer alternative. 😂

Acetaminophen is only harmful to most if you take too much. Ibuprofen affects blood stickiness which is why it has cardiac concerns. Oxy is addictive which is why it's the last resort.

Low doses of oxy likely are less impactful than ibuprofen, but for the fact they're highly addictive.

New meds are coming next year that thread this needle better, but will be very expensive for the next 16 or so years (patents).
