these capsules work just fine. Perhaps you are complaining about the increased drip into the tray, which is because they don't have silicone seal behind the lip - and that i suspect is patent encumbered (just like making compatible capsules was till another patent expired). Hypothetically you can add manually such silicone ring but who would bother. I suspect the leak affects only ristrettos (shortest pull) and can work around by starting a second pull for a few more seconds.

There is 15% coupon if bought outright instead of S&S, which brought the price to the lowest ever for me $14 for 60 (or 23 cents per capsule). And this variety (Maestro light roast) happens to be the flavor i like best from the Lavazza's (more than Tierra Amazonia and Tierra Planet), so woo-hoo

No I'm complaining cause they don't work fine. It either brews just water, have to repress brew 5 times because it only does a tiny bit at a time or it adds more water than it's suppose to. I have 2 different machines that were recently descaled cleaned and both have the same issues. I have tried countless other brand and never have I had this issue

i see. I believe you. What is your machine model, if you don't mind?

Different machines may behave differently - Nespresso may have even "improved" so that newer models depend more on each capsule having seal ring

For me on Nespresso Pixie machine thew brew fine - thought with all non-Nespresso capsules (who don't have seal on the lip), there's increased water drip in the tray - something that's fine with me.
