If you're talking about the OLED G16 then that is better and preferable. However, it's never been at this price and was $1399 just once months ago.

This has upgradeable RAM whereas the G16 has it soldered.

Because processor matters in a gaming laptop? If you prioritize processor in a gaming laptop in any way above the video card you are wasting your money. If you need something faster get a higher video card not a higher processor.

Got this deal a few weeks back and it is solid! Just upgraded the ram to 32gb and it plays whatever without issues.

Fans run a bit loud, but nothing out of the "norm", although the performance mode makes the fans kick like no tomorrow, pretty much feels like it's about to fly off.

Performance is solid, I do game dev with it, 3d modeling and gaming. No sweat on any of those things.

Battery sucks like any gaming pc, even my X14 was not ideal.

The screen is fantastic for my needs, 1440p does the job for me, can it be better? Sure, but for going out and using it elsewhere, it's fantastic.

it has enough ports , 2 USB-C, 2 USB-A.
Also two M.2 slots (main and extra).

Mouse pad works ideally for me and I like the keyboard. It feels a little raised?? With nice feedback.

I was going to grab the Legion i7, but for the price, this was a no brainer for me.

If thermal is an issue, I suggest getting a better paste and put the work to replace it (if able, IF needed).

All I can think of at the moment.

Cheers!

Cyberpunk - High quality, DSLR, runs smooth.

RD2- high, no issues

Balders Gate 3 - high/ ultra, no issue

I've read that Alienware can have ram compatibility issues... can you tell me which brand you used, thanks... I see BB has crucial 32 (16x2) on sale right now too...

I just bought the 2tb 64gb ultra 9 version for $1428 (maybe $1258) after 16% (maybe 26% cash back).

It was $1707 after 10% sign up discount. 16% off a top cash back site and my BBP amex has 10% cash back - though says through Dell small business. We shall see if that amex cash back works.

edit: cash back stack worked $1250 final price
