13% 1 stars, 8% 2 stars. Too many complaints about the pilot.

Was about to say the same thing - lots of negative experiences with this unit in the reviews. Looks like they're trying to clear them out to me.

Looks like the 8,000-11,000 is also on sale. Currently going for 84.99 but there's a 20% off coupon and another 10% off if you use a prime card.

I know this is probably not the right solution. But what would be a good option for inside a temp? I feel like nothing really is, but curious if they have made it safer somehow. The only way I'd be able to get the family out camping in a tent during the "winter" (AZ)

Any of their buddy heaters are supposed to be good for tent camping. I think they have a list of safety things to follow when doing so. I would also have a carbon monoxide detector with you in the tent as a good precaution

Even if these things are safe, they stink - literally. I get a headache from them.

I've been back and forth with getting one of these for my garage. I think yours makes the most sense in that it likely doesn't produce enough CO to worry about, but doesn't mean it's emission-less.

100% indoor safe. You're falsely reading the "x" in the chart to mean "no", which is admittedly a really dumb choice when they use check marks in every other row.

But to reiterate: this product is safe for indoor use, provided you follow proper instructions and safety guidelines.

Straight from the manufacturer: https://www.mrheater.com/buddy-flex-heater.html

"Indoor safe radiant propane heater emits 8,000–11,000 BTU"

Pro tip: If you are going to hook this up to a 20lb tank use the official Mr Heater hose. Third party hoses leech plasticizers under pressure because the regulator is at the heater end, leading to an oily substance eventually blocking the pilot. You have to take the heater apart to clear it out. They do sell a filter if you want to use third party hoses but it needs replacing once a year.

This problem is fairly well documented on YouTube.

Either use their hose, or their fuel keg system (or single use canisters but that's a waste of money).
