Really strange title from Lowes.

Have to go to Features to see that the charger is not actually included.

See attached.

As a reminder, this is starlock. That means you need either starlock blades (only a few brands make them and they're always really expensive) or you need a convoluted adapter which may or may not even work with this tool. I use 12V bosh, and the oscillating tool will be the first and last starlock device I own.

I made the mistake of getting this last year. It works great but the Starlock blades are so ridiculously overpriced. There are not many Chinese bootleg Starlocks and the ones I have tried were trash.

They should've just said "tool only". Unless their ploy is to fool people, because it says "charger included…", so the rest of it is cut off when viewing on my phone. Lol

Would you please tell me in just a few words what this tool is for? Thanks

I have a 12v and I know this is 18v. Between the starlock making blades expensive and the fact that it's battery powered in general, I wouldn't bite. This is the one battery powered tool I own that I wish was corded. It just rips through batteries. Again, I know I have 12v vs 18v, but I have 4 regular 12v batteries and one extended, and I can't keep up with how fast they die when using this. I have two chargers and it just isn't enough. I got it as a gift. If I paid for it, I would have returned it day one. It works great......for 5-10 minutes. If you're only punching through dryway it might be ok, but I guarantee once you see how many uses this has, you'll want it to do more. Save yourself the hassle and get a corded version with a different blade system.

This is the best of its kind. If you have the batteries already its a no brainer at this price point

Starlock is much easier to get on and off. You can find deals on the blades also

Fwiw, I have the 18V, this exact model, actually, the GOP18V-28N, and the battery usage is completely fine with a 4Ah battery. I always managed to complete my tasks before I depleted the battery. One could probably get 1-2 hours of intense on and off usage.

For those w/ a Menards [menards.com] nearby, it's $54 after rebate for a couple more hours.

This is good for cutting anywhere that other tools don't fit right. You can cut a piece of pipe that's against a wall. You can cut drywall without cutting into the studs. There are attachments to sand, scrape, or cut foam. I usually find uses for dull blades, for example I used the corner of one to chip off a bunch of hard tile adhesive. This video shows a bunch of examples in 4 minutes.

I use the 18V with the 8Ah battery all the time and I don't have any issues with battery life. I also have the 12V tools and battery is an issue in them sometimes. Also the 12V impact has difficulty on anything thicker than sheet metal.
