Correct, Steam seems to have accidently started the trend of calling demos "prologues" because (until this year) demos didn't have their own page on Steam and couldn't be "added to library," thus could not be easily downloaded to the Steam Deck. So Dev's figured out a workaround* by calling demos prologues and treating them like an entirely different game. I think it also allows people to review the prologue / demo where just playing a demo nested under the paid version of the same would not have allowed reviews.

*Not calling games demos but prologues also bypasses the "demo" filter within searches for free / cheap games so some Dev's seem to be abusing this.
