Yeah, but that's perfect for training child soldiers.
This will not keeeeeeeel
You may be joking, but I have given my kids a few of these plastic training swords and knives that have come up on deals. They love them.

(They also don't know that I am secretly training them to be elite assassins as a backup plan if the college scholarships don't pan out.)

OP, please edit your title to say this is Santoprene material. (ie plastic/rubber). Had me worried.
Cold Steel is the seller's storefront name. nod
I understand you put this in your post, but deal alerts only give titles.

Santoprene is a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) that's a blend of polypropylene and EPDM rubber.

Did you really think it was actually made of something called "Cold Steel"? Cold Steel isn't just the "seller's storefront name". It's the brand name of the company that has been around since 1980. They were selling this stuff in magazine and with VHS tapes long before online store were a thing.

Why would I post what I did otherwise? Did you think I did it ironically, or as a joke? The point was that yes, at first reading of the title, I thought this was steel.

For all I know (which is not much about knife steel), there could be a type called "cold steel"- as in a certain method for tempering at lesser temps than standard (which I also have no knowledge or care about).

Knife collectors seem to know all about the various detailed steel designations like the backs of their hands. D2, et al. You really think all SDers know all about knife-steel types and tempering methods?

I guarantee it was misleading, at first, to more folks than me. Had the term not been in the title, I probably would have wondered based on the term "trainer" if this might not be steel.

I do have a Parang that the picture reminded me of. So yes, I came to this post from my emailed deal alert expecting a cold steel knife. Laugh all you want.
