It may be decent from some places I've seen but spend the extra 40-50 bucks on a PSU where the OEM is known. Your 1000 dollar GPU will thank me later.

Agreed. $60 doesn't seem to be enough to even cover the cost of quality components, much less a profit.

I'd rather "splurge" on something like an EVGA Bronze 850W. The slight increase in power costs will be offset by my GPU not exploding.

EVGA isn't good these days. Safest is Seasonic. Corsair is also a good alternative to EVGA.

Seasonic, Corsair, NZXT, SuperFlower seem to be great. EVGA used to be also great especially if you had problems. Did you have a problem with an EVGA psu?

No, but the current EVGA is a shell of its former self. Operations are at a minimum and are well on their way to shutting down. The owner/CEO wants to retire and would rather shut the company down than sell it to someone else.
