If even one child is saved by the coating, it is well worth it. People make mistakes and these are left out all the time.
Yeah, the ones without the bitter coating tastes better. Planning to buy this as a result

Nice deal. 50% off. Even cheaper per battery than the Duracell pack at Costco.

Good Deal, Thanks. Doesn't have the bitter coating good for households without very young children, I can use it in Airtags. I still don't see the point of bitter coating. Even I have trouble taking out these batteries from the airtags and other small devices and the orginal packaging is the worst, how many kids are going to get to it unless parents left it out. More a marketing gimmick which is more pain than advantage. I was going to rep but it is a staff post.

just FYI you can wipe /scratch those off. It's annoying but I have bought the coated ones and used them in airtags

My only concern is that I could receive fake batteries. Is there anyway to tell from the packaging if it's fake or not?

Also Renata Swiss-made batteries typically used in medical and scientific equipment.

Kids get into all kinds of things on their own. The bitter coating is a result of a partnership between the American Pediatric Society and Duracell. Are you a parent or want to be a responsible parent one day?

I had trouble with opening car door lock and starting the car with keys in my pocket. It happened on both the cars at the same time and about a month later I bought the 12 pack from Costco on sale last month.

I'm still having the same issue that both my cars don't detect the keys in my pocket. Quite frustrating especially now in winter.
