I've had 2 nightmare orders from Toolup through Amazon.

Most recently was a Bosch 12ah battery that arrived used, and it had non-factory screws in it. It took me just over 2 months to get corrected.

Prior to that was 2 Dewalt 5ah batteries that turned out to be fake. They claimed it was due to the fact that there was a mixup, and I returned the batteries, but they were a nightmare to deal with.

I've spoken with others that have said Toolup (here in Florida) is a resell store that buys pallets of returns. This is why items do not come in manufacturers packages. I can't testify to the truth of that, but from now on, I make sure an item on sale on Amazon is not from Toolup.
The problem is Amazon co-mingles inventory.

It's why I stopped order auto parts off them.

Although Amazon has had issues with fake batteries, I doubt there are fakes on here yet with a new as the POWERPACK batteries are.
Great price and best I've seen for bare battery so far!!

I don't remember seeing one for less than $120 in the last couple of years (including hack deals) for just the battery. The best deal I remember that included one was the 60V string trimmer, blower, charger and a 9Ah battery for $200 (HD in store) about a year ago. I picked up a couple in that deal.

At the $120 price point, you can currently get two from Fasteners Inc for $239 [fastenersinc.net], then use NEWCUSTOMER10 to get $10 off. So $114.50 each with free shipping and no tax if you're not in CA.

These are shipped by Toolsup, not Amazon. They are coming from Toolsup directly rather than 'sold by Toolsup, shipped by Amazon'.

So Amazon in no way shape or form will drop ship these batteries from their warehouses for Toolup?

Toolup are an authorized dealer for both Bosch and DeWalt. For experiences like yours, where you received used or fake goods when sold as new, I would implore you to contact the manufacturer and report it. I know it is a bit of extra work on your part, but it should be beneficial to the community in the long run.

According to the listing, they are shipped by Toolup. I'm sure there is a remote posibility that they could switch to inventory from an Amazon warehouse, but that's not what's advertised.

Still not happening. Really the only way to tell is to break open the battery and look at the cells.

I think personally I would try to price match Lowes or Home Depot for this rather than going through Amazon and chancing a fake.

Definitely a good option. Let us know if it works.
