This is Direct Tools Factory Outlet, the company owned by TTI (that also owns Ryobi).
Tools Direct = crapshoot on what you get as it's just raw unprocessed returns.
DTO (this deal) is actually either new (marked as blemished to get around their deal with Home Depot) or factory refurbished by TTI if marked refurb.
They are very different.
That said, this is an excellent price on these.

I doubt that was for factory blemished (basically new). I was watching it closely because I needed one. Never saw it that low. This is a great deal, you will probably have to add $15 for shipping and taxes, but for this battery that's still excellent.
Places this battery makes sense:
- Lawn mower
- Snow blower (you may need a pair for some units that run an 80v motor)
- Leaf blower if you have a high CFM unit and like to run it on full power for long periods. The 12ah battery is actually not as heavy as you think, it's not much heavier than the 7.5ah batteries.
- Power bank
I bought mine to run a leaf blower and snow shovel longer, both to move leaves and light fluffy snow. Worked great, but have to put a cover around it with a hand warmer in there or Ryobi batteries will shut off due to getting too cold (an error code flashes on the LEDs).
Warning: Never charge up a lithium battery in freezing temps you will kill it super fast.

Lol no way
I wanted to buy one for my lawn mower too but I think the biggest it can take is the 6ah one. If this is any bigger, don't think it will fit.
Yup. Same thing. I have "newer" generation 40V tools but that little bit of extra height and shape might be out of line for nearly all my equipment unfortunately

Would it fit the ryobi generator?

Do you have the ATTACH-IT snow shovel (newer brushless model)? If so, do you feel like the 12Ah gives it more oomph than the usual 4Ah? Also wondering the same for the leaf blower. I currently have the 600 cfm, but looking to upgrade to the 730 cfm one.
