To add to this confusion- you need a non-grandfathered Prime account (access to Prime video version of Prime instead of old free shipping separated from video access holder/ payer account) to get the deal.
So having a Prime account doesn't necessarily give you access to the deal.

It Initially showed $6.99 and I began going thru the purchasing process, and then it asked me to log in with my password, and then it redirected me back to the page and showed me $4.99.

Not sure what this means. I'm a long-time moocher off a family member's Prime account and got the deal.

It means that there are many long-time moochers (myself included) that can't get the deal despite being "Prime" members because there have been many different iterations of Amazon Prime throughout the years.
At the end of the day it's a $2 difference so it's not that serious lol

You still have those? Amazon got really stingy with those lately.
