I'm contemplating whether to get the PC version or just play it on my iPad. I already have the base game and a few DLCs on my iPad. And Netflix has the platinum edition for free.
$5 for the platinum edition is a good price but it's money wasted if I'm not going to be able to play it. It's infinitely easier to pick up and play on the iPad than on a computer. Now if it had cross-save that would have been tempting!
Well, if a switch can handle it (albeit poorly) I'm pretty sure almost any recent iPad can do a somewhat decent job. Personally, I have the 2022 M2 iPad Pro. Should be more than enough for this game.

Can you buy from macgamestore and install on PC via Steam?
Yes, I believe so. It's a steam code. Once you redeem it onto your account it should enable all steam versions including PC.
Yes you can. I did this for the base game a few years ago.

Evidently the keys are provided by the publisher of the game, and Mac game store has run out of the keys they were originally provided and have to wait for more which could take up to two weeks they say.
