Bought mine from Value Electronics (they are also on Greentoe), TV shipped straight from Sony. If hadn't already bought would email Value Electronics and ask to match price if buy straight from them, since some dealers on Greentoe I don't trust like BuyDig.
*Returns are handled by the retailer but Greentoe assists the return authorization.
It was a solid model at the time with above average specifications, Therefore, expensive when first introduced, it remained in production for 2 years.
After production ended the price became reasonable: 75" $1500/ 85" $2,500

So long as you don't see them side by side, you should be fine with either one. Those are both good TVs.
After looking at Bravia 7 at a Bestbuy and reading reviews, I was leaning more towards that but one time I went to another bestbuy just to see if Bravia 9 was any better when comparing side by side with Bravia 7, and for my eyes Bravia 9 is way better with blacks and blooming effect. So I landed up buying that.

You can see that in RTING's side by sides of the 9 and 7 (https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...3321/53322). Check out the blooming pics. The 9 keeps the area near the word "subtitles" pretty clean, while the 7 has an obviously over-bright square over the word that destroys shadow detail in the test scene. That's obviously a torture test and may get washed out if you're viewing entirely in daytime. Whether the 7 will work well for you is going to depend on use case, but the 9 is going to be a much, much better TV in a dim or mixed viewing environment. The 95L is still on offer and probably best choice for critical / true dark room viewing.
I wish it handled reflections better for dark scenes in a brightly sunlit room, but my understanding is it actually performs well above average for modern TVs.

Size isn't really a factor, I'm staying the same at 65 in with what I currently have, the tv would be mounted on a wall about like 8 feet away from a sliding glass door that would be facing the side of the tv, we have curtains but if open we'd have a decent amount of daytime light coming in, I'm just not sure which of the two tv's is a better choice since I really like them both 😊
