I got one of these (from a different site) for about this price this spring. It's a short scale and small bodied guitar with a relatively narrow nut so bare that in mind. I don't have huge hands and it can feel a little cramped even for me. I enjoy it and it's nice in comparison to my other acoustic which has a huge body. I strongly recommend checking one out at your local shop though as it's small

I just played my brother's last night and it is fun to play but the setup and action on his are high so it wasn't very enjoyable after a short while haha. If i were to get one I would definitely lower the action a good amount. It would also be cool to install a K&K or Schatten pickup in it too.

common issue: difficult to play, strings are so tight and hard to press on.

Pretty sure this can be resolved with a proper setup and also possibly changing the strings out for a lighter gauge

I'm using the 13s that came with mine and I have low action. There's a couple frets that are a little high I think so I get some buzz but yeah I think there's gonna be variation with setup.

Haha wow… 13s!? And it sounds like fret leveling might be in order

It's acoustic and it's 23.5 inch scale I believe. 13s are what they come with and recommend. I haven't tried 12s on it yet. And yeah. Some feet work would be nice but the local luthier no longer is around and I don't trust guitar center to work on my guitars

Most short scale guitars come with heavier strings to get a balanced tension for standard tuning.

I have owned a GS mini for a couple of years. These little guitars sound very good for their size and price. The only thing I didn't like is the narrow nut (good for strumming but not so much finger style). I replaced mine with a Martin 000jr-10 (very similar to the GS mini, except all solid and 1.75" nut width).

https://www.americanmusical.com has the Taylor GS Mini Sapele Acoustic Guitar (Natural) on sale for $349.95. Shipping is free.

I found this after seeing a similar post from user jk6812. American Music looks to have it for $50 less and it's in stock.

Lowest price for one of these I've seen in a while. This is small-ish but a real instrument, not a toy. An adult could gig with this, it's balanced with great tone and reasonable volume.

These are amazing, especially at this price. If you've played a Baby Taylor, this gives you that "oomph" that the Baby is missing while still being relatively small compared to a full-size.

I went deep on this style of guitar earlier this year. If you're looking for that small-body, parlor-ish sound the mini-dread is a shape to check out. Fun change of pace.

Played a bunch and ended up with an Eastman which gave me solid woods all the way around, and I found, the best tone. But I liked the Taylors a lot too, and they'd probably be easier to sell later if that's a consideration.

Yeah, I've read that the GS-Mini hits the sweet spot better. The Taylor Big Baby is smaller though if comfort is the main driver.
