88 extra gigs of ram! ~Apple users
Why so much of RAM and so little of VRAM?

4GB VRAM means you can't run most of the popular large language models on this GPU.
This is a workstation laptop, not an office one. To utilize RAM, one can run several virtual machines, 16GB of RAM each, AI training crap, some CAD designing and video rendering applications, etc.

This is not something I'd like to use on daily basis as it gets too noisy according to https://www.notebookcheck.net/Len...851.0.html So Lenovo has to try harder.

Nope, 96GB is a max, see https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/...l_Spec.pdf

I can't imagine how anyone can use up that much RAM. Open 10 browsers, each with 100 tabs open?

try doing some LR/PS editing, or PR.
i can easily max out 48G of ram when i do things in PR, or even doing some batch LR process work. video and photo editing can take as much ram as you throw at it, especially at high resolutions.

that said.. the RTX500 is pretty weak GPU, is about 3050Ti. not sure why they throw in something like that in a system like this.

Because of TDP I guess, since the case is sort of small and slim.
