Chrome, to me, comes off as a very generic/clean/fresh scent, which isn't a bad thing. Not going to get any animalic ouds, tobacco, leather or anything like that -- it smells like shower gel, or a gym scent, or a summer scent or a wear-to-the-office without offending too many people scent, and for that.. it does its job.
As someone who likes the funky ouds and dirty leathers, this one still has a place -- the fact it's somewhat generic and clean and fresh is what makes it so popular and why people like it.
Not a bad price @ $30, but it generally hangs around that price at discounters

I agree. I'm still working my way through a bottle. I bought it blind based on so many rave reviews, but I think it's way overrated in comparison to how it actually smells. I like it just fine, and there's really nothing wrong with it, but it's really nothing more than just "fine." "Generic"really nailed it in my opinion. But if you're looking for something that doesn't stand out that's perfect for the officer, at this price, it's a good choice.

It was great in 1996. Probably timeless.
Thanks. I guess you know that Ross sells things cheaper than most places thus your comment.

Have to agree and I wore the OG Azzaro PH for decades. Its a vastly different successor but likeable and it grows on you. I wear Chrome Legend in summer, and Chrome EDP in winter, but this works all year long in the South too.
