I purchased this monitor at Costco a few days ago and am very pleased with the display. Be warned - it does not include a protective cover or case, so you will need to purchase one for travel, etc.

Some what true. I mean it doesn't have to fit perfectly nor has to be made in USA and a protective case is better than nothing. I give you that…. Though on the other hands it is preferential. Some are picky about it esp when looking for one at Amazon, some don't care, some do care but no preference what so ever.

Like there are folks who don't see the appeal of having ottobox defender case on their phone unlike others. 🤷🏽

Has a mini HDMI and a USB-C port, which is something normally missing from these known brand portable monitors. The stand looks sturdy too.

I just want one of these with mounting points on it. For a temporary screen in the backseat of the family van.

100% my use case for this. Same monitor with smarts included is $400. This plus a chromecast for backseat of car would've been great.

serious question... what is this typically used for? A second screen on a laptop when travelling? How sturdy is it for travel?

thanks and happy new year

Common use is for productivity or some people want to use this instead of their Nintendo Switch screen

I use it for a calendar with a Pi hooked up to it in the kitchen, big enough and takes up very little power.

I purchased the Finpac hard laptop sleeve (15-16" Macbook Pro) from Amazon and my Dell Inspiron and this monitor fit just fine. The sleeve is pretty robust but it still fits (although snug) in my backpack laptop sleeve. Blame it on aging eyes, but I had gotten to the point that I hated using my laptop when traveling due to the monitor size. This Acer monitor solves that and still allows for travel.
