I'm kinda confushed. I have a PS5 and have never played the original PS1 version of Final Fantasy 7. I would like to get into the universe. What game should I start with? Remake Intergrade? Thanks
FF7 Remake is the first game in the new trilogy, which was released on PS4 originally.
FF7 Remake Intergrade refers to the PS5 port of the game that has graphical and framerate improvements, and it also includes the DLC, Intermission, that follows another character which is meant to be played after finishing the main game.

So this is the version you'd want to play. The game's sequel, FF7 Rebirth, was released on PS5 earlier this year.

If you enjoy the game, I'd also humbly recommend playing the original game, which is available as a download on PS4/5, since there's a lot you'd appreciate more about the new trilogy if you have some knowledge of the original game.

I ignorantly bought the UK version, which means the save doesnt register with rebirth, and the intergrade redemption code doesnt work.

So despite me having that version installed, can I buy this one too and play it to get the summons?

I see no point buying it, if you don't plan to play it right away. Sony, Nintendo do close the eshop library when new consoles release. Only online game library I trust is PC steam right now. Plus you can mod the game, let char try different outfits.
As long as games continue to be backwards compatible going forward, they won't close. Playstation 4 and 5 have a unified storefront. Switch 2 will be backwards compatible, so the store shouldn't be closing there either.

They have nothing left in the bag so they're milking past success. I rather not tarnish my memory from PS1. Confused
What? How do they have nothing left in the bag? A lot of people loved this game. The fans kept hounding Square for years to make a remake. Lol

For all those who asked. Play the original game before you play any of these if you want the full story arch experience.

Isn't she in her young teenage days during this part? People being upset over this is... disturbing.
nope, apparently 20...
but still, being upset about removing CGI cleavage, it doesn't get much lower nod

personally, i wanted a proper remake of VII...
not this.

but if they had changed the turn-based RPG element to the new boring hack-n-slash style, i wouldn't have liked it anyway... so, whatevs Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Yes, she's 20 years old during the events of the game but that particular scene is a flashback scene that takes place years ago, I'm pretty sure she's underage in that scene...
