I heard that too but from what I understand, GoPro is like the apple of this category... More accessible interface and editing software, lots of high quality proprietary features available, better sharing services etc. Kinda seems like the Action 5 is the android alternative where you can get a lot out of it if you like to tinker with options and don't mind a little extra effort to get the same quality if it means you can also get exactly what you want... I'm an android tinkerer but I'm leaning GoPro because it will be my first one. Very open to feedback though if you or anyone have a different view. I'm stuck in analysis paralysis and just need to buy a dang camera!
