It gives a message, "The IMEI you entered is not for a Pixel 4a device."

Figured $50 cash was best choice. Until seeing details of "cash" offer.
Few weeks you will be contacted by rep, then once approved.
Sign up to their (unrecognized to me) payment service with my bank details and ACH payment will be sent...
Damn google could you make it sound more sketchy ?
That's the main reason Google discount codes are worthless. Hopefully they offer an enhanced trade in credit for the 4a towards the Pixel 9a as a good will gesture.
I'm going to try for the $50 cash. If Google had a Qi2 phone available right now, maybe I'd consider the credit, but hearing that the credit wouldn't be usable with sales or other promo codes makes me shy away from that even more. I've had bad experience in the past when people open up a phone to replace/fix something and it never seems to work as well as before - cascade of failures.

Im going to ask the obvious question; if we traded in the phone already, but have the box and the IMEI still, think we can still get the money?
I'm thinking no. I had the phone sitting in a drawer, so I booted it up and got the IMEI, but it wouldn't accept it until I logged into my Gmail account first.
Can you contact Google and give them the serial number (if it is still on your account) and ask for imei based on the serial?
Would be nice if they also decided to continue at least security updates to cover the phone with a new battery for a period of time...

Just sat there but handy when I needed and seemed to work great. Battery wasn't that horrible. Even was a hotspot to get around captive portal so the WiFi photo frame. (Lenovo 10)
I'll hopefully get $50 and can still keep you his as emergency phone
Without question, the 4a was a solid mid range smartphone from 2020-2023. Was $349.99 at launch, putting the inferior iPhone SE 2020 to shame. Too bad the 4a support was short. I really liked it especially with the oled screen and headphone jack

I also got the same deal and the phone died after about 2 years so I traded it in to Amazon for $15. I still have the box and found imei from it and looks like its eligible. Now need to see if I get a $100 off or $50 cash.
Does the coupon expire if anyone knows?
