Doesn't seem to work for Pixel 4a 5G. I just tried now thinking they were the same, but I recall not - Google had released a 4a and a 4a 5G separately.

It gives a message, "The IMEI you entered is not for a Pixel 4a device."
My past experience of google discount code (toward the purchase of new products) does not stack with sale price.
IMEI could be on the back of the device or on the box.

Have a 4a but display has a line down screen, was going to replace soon anyway.
Figured $50 cash was best choice. Until seeing details of "cash" offer.
Few weeks you will be contacted by rep, then once approved.
Sign up to their (unrecognized to me) payment service with my bank details and ACH payment will be sent...

Damn google could you make it sound more sketchy ?

The Walmart deal? lol, I got mine there too. Sold the Mint service on ebay woot
I'm still rocking my 4a from that deal. Best deal I ever found on SD for sure. I just replaced my battery a couple months ago so this is a timely offer. I submitted my request for $50 cash and an agent will supposedly contact me within 3 weeks.

Also purchased a 4a on release day directly from Google, not eligible. Single sim device, only 1 15 digit IMEI.

That's the main reason Google discount codes are worthless. Hopefully they offer an enhanced trade in credit for the 4a towards the Pixel 9a as a good will gesture.

I migrated away from a pixel 4a last year because it started shutting off randomly, something I assumed was battery related. But my pixel isn't eligible!

I use my 4a every day as my alt account on gaming (and as an emergency backup phone). I've been swiping away the Android 13 update notification for months if not years. The only issue I've occasionally noticed is repeatedly connecting and then disconnecting from my primary phone's mobile hotspot, though if I turn my primary's phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off (disconnecting it from my car's Android Auto), the 4a's wireless connection seems to work fine.

I'm going to try for the $50 cash. If Google had a Qi2 phone available right now, maybe I'd consider the credit, but hearing that the credit wouldn't be usable with sales or other promo codes makes me shy away from that even more. I've had bad experience in the past when people open up a phone to replace/fix something and it never seems to work as well as before - cascade of failures.

My Pixel 4a is still hanging in there pretty well. Been debating for about a year whether to trade it in for a new one but just love the form factor of the 4a.

I got my 4a from the vertex wireless SD where you got the phone and mint service for $199. It was bonkers cheap.

Im going to ask the obvious question; if we traded in the phone already, but have the box and the IMEI still, think we can still get the money?

I'm thinking no. I had the phone sitting in a drawer, so I booted it up and got the IMEI, but it wouldn't accept it until I logged into my Gmail account first.

Google: we admit that your 4 year old had battery problems, we will give you $50. Just send us the imei...... yes just turn on the old phone who died 2 years ago and cant be turn on

Can you contact Google and give them the serial number (if it is still on your account) and ask for imei based on the serial?

Hmmm...I don't get it...Google support for this phone ended over a year ago...so they're offering a battery replacement for a phone they no longer support...

Would be nice if they also decided to continue at least security updates to cover the phone with a new battery for a period of time...

I have a 4a 5G that started doing this, as well as boot looping and calling 911 on it's own. Freaked me out at first.

What's everyone's obsession with security in the last 2 years. Nobody is hacking your phone other than the government. I think phones have NOTHING to offer anymore so manufacturers have moved to marketing about "security" and it does nothing to future protect you.

Funny I was using my 4a for emergency phone for family member when they spent 2.months in hospital.

Just sat there but handy when I needed and seemed to work great. Battery wasn't that horrible. Even was a hotspot to get around captive portal so the WiFi photo frame. (Lenovo 10)

I'll hopefully get $50 and can still keep you his as emergency phone

Without question, the 4a was a solid mid range smartphone from 2020-2023. Was $349.99 at launch, putting the inferior iPhone SE 2020 to shame. Too bad the 4a support was short. I really liked it especially with the oled screen and headphone jack Frown

I also got the same deal and the phone died after about 2 years so I traded it in to Amazon for $15. I still have the box and found imei from it and looks like its eligible. Now need to see if I get a $100 off or $50 cash.

Does the coupon expire if anyone knows?
