Doesn't seem to work for Pixel 4a 5G. I just tried now thinking they were the same, but I recall not - Google had released a 4a and a 4a 5G separately.

It gives a message, "The IMEI you entered is not for a Pixel 4a device."
My past experience of google discount code (toward the purchase of new products) does not stack with sale price.
IMEI could be on the back of the device or on the box.

There are two IMEI's on the 4a. Have you checked both?

Where do you find both? Don't have the box, just the phone.

Great find there OP!
I currently have my original 4a, my sister's 4a that I will try to claim.

I picked up 2 NIB 4a's off ebay some months back and I wonder if I can submit those as well? We'll see.....

I'm taking the $50 cash, after replacing the battery myself 2 months ago for $20. (2 hours and tons of stress about the fragile screen.) 30% battery life went to 105%...good as new!

Payoneer is a hassle to set up (security & data disclosure). It seems like a Canadian Paypal.

I've just tried my current 4a and my sister's old 4a and both IEMI lookups show the following "xxxx is not eligible for a repair, cash payment, or discount."

That's a load of crap Google!
It makes sense as I'm pretty sure I'm not purchasing any more Pixel phones anyway.

my 16 year old son refuses to let me upgrade his pixel 4a. Just keeps saying it's fine. Good kid.
my 4a is working fine as well. Sometimes an app won't display properly (it just shows the corner of the app), so I close the app and reopen it, but other than that I haven't had any issues. It's been the most reliable phone I've ever owned, the camera is more than adequate. And I think I paid $250 for the phone a few years ago as an open box unlocked model. On Mint Mobile, $240 for the year. #savemoneylivebetter

The battery just completely died on my Pixel 1st gen this week. Wish I could get someone to replace that. I'm going to try to do it myself I guess.

Hassle is what you get for buying a Pixel.... Remember Google business is not to make phones so they don't put much effort into them..
The 4a is the best value phone I ever had and it's not even close.

Perfect size, fast, cheap, solid camera, backside fingerprint reader.
Even had slow motion video (the new ones don't).

Its not on the back of the device, its a 4 year old phone that died 2 years ago, the box is long gone. The imei(phone) is not even on find my phone anymore. And before someone says this, yes i even tried the sim tray

Looks like you have an entire year to decide what action to take. Would be nice if Google drops the 8a price a bit.
If only the 8a held a candle to the 4a. Still waiting for a 4a replacement.

Ways the 8a is inferior to the 4a:
  • Too big (subjective, but size was a major selling point for the 4a)
  • Lower screen to size ratio
  • No back side fingerprint reader, and worse fingerprint reader
  • No headphone jack
  • Inferior flashlight
  • No slow motion video
  • Significantly heavier
  • Cost was almost 50% higher

I got my 4a from the vertex wireless SD where you got the phone and mint service for $199. It was bonkers cheap.

Im going to ask the obvious question; if we traded in the phone already, but have the box and the IMEI still, think we can still get the money?
Come on, man. You're better than scamming. Stop that.
